After Jane inspects, catalogues and photographs the assignment artwork, each article is researched in the appropriate marketplace. Research for all reports are conducted in the offices of the appraiser. The office is equipped with an extensive library of over 5,000 art reference and research books, artist catalogue raisonnes’ and international auction house catalogues. Primary and secondary market research are conducted on the internet using standard search engines as well as pricing databases to which the appraisal company subscribes (including askart.com, artnet.com, artprice.com, invaluable.com and liveauctioneers.com).
